Danceability Inc.
Danceability, Inc. is a dance program for children and adults with disabilities as well as their families. The program provides weekly dance instruction to children and adults with special needs. The family-focused approach seeks to improve quality of life for those challenged with special needs, as well as their families. The classes focus on an individual’s abilities, motivations, love for music and movement while expanding their potential within a group or individual setting. The program promotes physical, social, and emotional wellness in an environment that embraces acceptance and tolerance for all, while being a fun form of exercise.

Welcome to all of our potential dancers and their family and friends. It is very exciting that you have given us the opportunity to be a part of your lives. The program caters to individuals with, but not limited to, the following disabilities; autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, learning disorders, etc. Danceability, Inc. promises to be more than a dance program. It seeks to be a recreational retreat for those who love dance and music and the families that love them. As the co-executive directors, co-founders, and lead instructors, we pride ourselves on the connections we create and maintain with all who come into our studio. We want you to feel that the danceability, Inc. program is a place where you can relax, vent, seek advice from peers and educated professionals, and just have fun.

50 Minute classes will be offered once a week, Monday through Thursday 3:30-8:00. Students will be assessed and placed into a class based on the following criteria: a) ability, b) age, c) class size, d) parental schedule. We will work hard to find the best fit for each student and will not hesitate to make a change if necessary. Danceability, Inc. will also be offering something unique. Based on interest, one or two inclusion classes will be offered. This means that the students with special needs will have the opportunity to dance with other members of their family who do not have special needs. Both parties will be given dance education that challenges them, while providing them with a true bondg experience.

In addition to our weekly dance classes, we hope to provide families with periodic opportunities for social events as well as cultural/dance field trips. They will be announced as events come to town.

Our primary task is dance education, but having been in the field for years, we know that it can be about much more; education, socialization, behavior modification, sensory work, and having someone listen. We hope that through good communication with us and yourselves, your needs will be met.

Payments involve registration fee, tuition and a very small costume fee that only applies to those participating in the annual performance. Families are encouraged, however, to seek third party payment when they are able (Contact your service providers and insurance companies to see what moneys are available for recreational activities. You may be surprised!) We will provide you the invoice and they will help you from there.

Registration fee of $20 must be paid in person by cash or check
